FERNANDA PRATA
Arts Leader |Creative Director & Curator

I am an arts leader, curator and creative director. My practice sits at the intersection of curating, directing and programme development. I work across theatre, dance and visual arts, creating interdisciplinary projects that connect artists, audiences and institutions.

My background as a performer with over thirty years of experience across dance, theatre and immersive practice shapes my curation, programming and artistic leadership. In particular, working in collaboration with Punchdrunk International as Assistant Director and performer for over 16 years has informed my curatorial and programming projects.

My work is informed by doctoral research in interdisciplinary performance, exploring anthropophagic approaches (cultural cannibalism)  as a way of thinking about exchange, transformation and dialogue across artistic practices. I am interested in how creative outlets can meet, influence, and reshape one another, offering agency to artists and a non-hierarchical avenue for audience, artists, and disciplines to create innovative works.
